Accessibility Standards
A site only works if everyone can use it. We build to WCAG 2.1 Level AA and verify it, rather than assuming.
What we build to
- Semantic HTML with a logical, unbroken heading order
- Every interactive element operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator
- Colour contrast that meets WCAG AA on every surface
- A skip-to-content link, and a mobile menu that traps focus and closes on Escape
- Respect for the "reduce motion" preference — animation is disabled for visitors who ask for it
- Clearly labelled forms with plain-language error messages
Verified, not assumed
We measure accessibility with automated audits and manual keyboard checks. In our testing, this site scores 100 for accessibility in Google Lighthouse on representative pages, with a clean heading hierarchy and AA-contrast text throughout. Accessibility is checked as the site changes, not signed off once and forgotten.
The details that matter
The specifics are where accessibility is won or lost. Decorative icons are hidden from screen readers so they don't add noise. The reactive background and the animated statistics both stop for visitors who prefer reduced motion, leaving a calm, still page. Layouts are tested from 360-pixel phones up to widescreen with no horizontal scrolling. For the formal record, see our Accessibility Statement — and if you hit a barrier, tell us and we'll fix it.
We hold client work to the same bar: accessible by default, verified, and fixed when someone tells us something isn't working for them.
